Top 10 Android Games You Should Play

Android gaming is getting bigger and better every month it seems and there is always a slew of new titles coming to Google Play. Whether you’re a casual gamer or you want something with a beat more meat on its bones, there’s usually a game coming out to suit everyone’s taste. Well we have compiled a list of such games which everyone would like.

1. NBA 2k17 :
If you’re looking for a first-rate mobile basketball game, look no further further than NBA 2K17. Slick graphics, a variety of game modes, and full court gameplay continue the record set by the series, with expanded gameplay features and physical controller support included in the latest release. Highlights include a deeper MyCareer mode with a new Off Day Simulator, as well as an expanded EuroLeague feature, alternate team uniforms, and historic players. All of this comes on top of the already excellent package of Season, MyCareer, and Blacktop mode play, making this a premium sports game well worth its asking price.

2. Crashlands :
Crashland was released in 2016 and it’s already among the best Android games ever made. It features an intergalactic trucker that ends up crash landed on an alien planet. Your job is to find out what’s going on, build yourself a base, collect various items (and craft them), and save the world from a nefarious plot. It has an RPG element for character development, tons of items that you can collect and craft, and the game makes itself easier by doing things like auto-sorting your inventory. It’s a ton of fun and contains dozens of hours of content. The best part? There are no in-app purchases to get in the way.

3. Real Racing 3 :
Maybe it’s showing its age a little bit, but Real Racing 3 remains an excellent free-to-play driving sim that lets you take the wheel of a host of real-world cars as you drive around gorgeously rendered real-world racetracks. Numerous game modes — including time trials, standard races and the Time Shift multiplayer mode — offer varied challenges to players, with updates continuously adding new content such as new cars and racing events.

4. The Room 3 :
The Room Three builds on the success of its previous installments, providing gamers with a series of challenging tactile puzzles. The game’s hallmark is its use of touch screen controls, with swipes, taps, and gestures intuitively manipulating puzzle elements. That gives The Room Three a very natural, immersive feel. Players must unravel a series of increasingly complex puzzles as they seek to unearth the secrets of The Null and the mysterious Craftsman. New additions to the series include a 'hub' area called Grey Holm with a series of ongoing puzzles, as well as a branching ending that depends on how well you solve the game's mysteries.

5. Geometry Wars 3 - Dimensions :
The Geometry Wars series has quite a sizable fanbase and has been consistently described as one of the most enjoyable indie games ever made. Geometry Wars 3 continues that proud tradition by introducing 3D maps constructed out of various shapes to make the game more challenging. It features 100 levels, 12 battle modes, and it’s all played over 15 3D grids. As per the norm, you’ll have super abilities and all of the HD, colorful explosions that your brain can handle. $9.99 may seem pricey for a mobile game, but there are also no in-app purchases.

6. Minecraft - pocket edition :
Minecraft is a popular game all around the world for people of all ages. For those who have never played, Minecraft puts you in a giant world where you mine stuff, build stuff, beat up bad guys, and do pretty much whatever you want. There is a survival mode where you must mine your own resources and food along with a creative mode that gives you unlimited everything. Frequent updates have added tons of new content and possibilities. The game will soon be on par with its PC counterpart. It'll be to the point where they remove the Pocket Edition moniker and be the full-fledged game. There are in-app purchases, but they're usually just for customization things like skin packs.

7. Super Mario Run :
Nintendo's first foray into smartphone game is a winner, and now Android users can join in on the fun with this runner game. You can play one of three modes. The main World Tour plays the most like a traditional Mario game, with players navigating hazards and collecting coins to reach the end of the level in a limited amount of time, while an asynchronous Toad Rally mode has you competing against your friends' scores and collecting coins and Toads. In Kingdom Builder mode, you spend the coins you’ve gathered to customize your own Mushroom Kingdom and unlock more characters like Luigi and Princess Peach. A free download lets you play the first free levels, while a one-time $9.99 purchase unlocks all 24 levels.

8. Riptide GP Series :
The Riptide GP games are perhaps the best racers available in all of Android gaming. The latest title is Riptide GP Renegade. In this one, you’ll play as a racer who loses their credentials after getting caught in an illegal street race. You’ll battle your way back to the top from there. The game features good graphics, simple controls, fun tricks, and a boost system to help you gain an edge. Perhaps the best part about Renegade is that it’s a pay-once game so there are no ads and no in-app purchases to screw things up. In fact, all three games in the series so far have been pay-once, although Riptide GP2 does have optional in-app purchases if you want to max out your stuff faster (which you can do yourself with a bit of grinding).

9. Asphalt 8 - Airborne :
Given that this is the eighth title in the Asphalt series, it probably comes as no surprise Gameloft's got a bit bored having sports cars merely zoom along at breakneck speeds and drift for ludicrous distances. As this game's name suggests, Asphalt 8 now also regularly finds your vehicle catapulted into the air, whereupon it can perform crazy aerial stunts that are entirely not covered by your insurance plan. As ever, the hyper-real tracks are faintly barmy too.

10. Alto's Adventure :
Having made a graceful leap from iOS to Android, Alto’s Adventures now enables many millions more to enjoy the escapades of the titular Alto.In theory, he’s supposed to be catching escaped llamas. But mostly, this is a game about messing around on snowy slopes, blazing through mountain villages, performing stunts, collecting hovering coins, and trying to stay ahead of spoilsport elders with sticks, angry at Alto’s maverick nature and distaste at sitting in a pen that smells of llama poop.
